Before you start the course, you will need to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) security check.
Tuition Fee loans and maintenance loans are also available. You could also receive additional funding support if you’re a parent or have a disability. As a salaried trainee, you would be required to cover your student fees.
When you apply on the Department for Education (DfE) website, your application will go through an initial screening process. If your application makes it through the initial screen, you will be formally invited to an interview in one of our School Direct partner schools.

If you do not already have the right to work in the UK, you may need to apply for a visa. The main visa for salaried courses is the Skilled Worker visa.
To apply for a Skilled Worker visa you need to be sponsored by your employer.
